SOME SERIOUS BERLIN PRIDE PRE-GAMING - DO NOT OVER-DO!
Every time I’m back to this city, I’m super excited to begin my pre-gaming / pre-partying early. And that’s serious pre-gaming!
I usually start Thursday night at the infamous obnoxious drag queen party - CHANTAL’S HOUSE OF SHAME. First night in the city and you instantly get what the city is about. Come as early as possible because getting into this dungeon around midnight can be almost impossible. My number one rule as soon as I walk in is to take off my shirt as it would get wet within 5 minutes anyways so better to save it dry for the way back.
It’s dark, everyone smokes anywhere they want (who cares about the EU law!), the floor is slippery, but it’s still fun as long as those shots keep coming. Surprisingly the basement does not have a dark room - well most guys who get horny use the toilets instead - nobody cares about the light here!
The highlight is always the performance by her majesty Chantal. Every time is special as she is always wasted, sometimes falling from the stage, sometimes mumbling something that even Germans don’t understand and often times singing while not realizing that the microphone is off. The true Queen of Berlin! I would not go to see her (and the boys) every week, but it’s definitely worth to experience once in your life!
Once you wake the next day take a look around the city as it’s super interesting. I always plan to do that, but haven’t been on any sightseeing for years as usually I have to rest for the next night out. Friday night provides you with 2 gay options. SCHWUZ is the first option for underage gays having fake IDs. Location is amazing - you might think it's empty and there is no party when you arrive as you will hear nothing outside. But I assure you it's busy downstairs in the catacombs with students their lovers. They have three rooms: pop - have never heard pop music mixed soooo bad; house - well I am not sure what the shit they were playing; rock - dancing to old rock music is pretty funny, but that was the only room without somewhat decent music and I stayed there most of the time (that one and last time I was there). Basically the location is amazing - the party is S%$^!
The second option is REVOLVER PARTY or anything that happens at the KIT KAT club. Firstly, you will face the bouncers pretending to be as cool as BERGHAIN bouncers, but they are just rude for no reason - simply know the title of the party you're going to. Inside theres dancing / sex club for all the fetishes you might have. You can dance to the circuit music with the (half) naked, drugged men or get lost / f#ck in the maze (you will see people having sex everywhere basically), oh and they even have a swimming pool. As amazing as all this might sound (to some people), I don’t think I would ever come back. It's just too smelly and not enough air to breath!
There are also more options, like LABORATORY - the most advanced sex club in the world. I’ve never been there, but this Yelp post says it all (so sorry for this poor straight boy who mixed LABORATORY with BERGHAIN).
After all it’s better to sleep before the Saturday parade and all the parties! You will need that energy!
