TEL AVIV - DO YOU WANT AN HONEST OPINION?

Every gay guy heard stories about that beautiful city, gorgeous beaches, crazy night life and hot guys. Well… The municipality of the city and Israelis are doing an amazing job promoting the city! In reality, not everything is as amazing as you heard.

My first reaction after arrival - literally at the immigration desk - the boys are really hot here! Wait till you see some military men! Very hot! And really gay friendly even if they are not gays! But going somewhere just because of hot men… you must be really desperate… Plus everyone is only into hook ups, don’t expect anything more.

I crossed the major streets and the city looks like after the war - every second house looks like ruins. On the positive side, they have nice cafes and cute restaurants serving delicious hummus. The beach is not as amazing as you might expect - I can list you dozens of cities at the Mediterranean sea with nicer ones. The gay beach at Hilton hotel is tiny!

Get ready for the overpriced and low quality night life. Ridiculously priced drinks in the bars and clubs (while they are reasonably priced in the store). More about clubbing in my Tel Aviv Pride adventure.

So the boys are hot, people are very friendly, but I don’t really find any other reason to visit. You should better go to Jerusalem for an amazing history and might even have a date with that exotic boy from Grindr wearing a kippah.
